the color palettes for the core theme Saintly blaze divided into two sub theme inspired from the colors that has been leading forecasters has identified. for two different sub trend we chose completely opposite palettes since in A/W 19/20 this has been a norm to play with contrast colors.
Shades with dual function – both core and fashion hues – such as red, merlot and mid-blue carry through, while winter neons, warm yellow and jewel greens inject brightness into the palette. (wgsn.com, 2018)
For our serenity series of colors brings calmness and atmosphere to the winter, yet it does not lose its monotonous atmosphere. this is truly inspired by the macro trends like nature photography on b& w tones also a hint of backpack travelling and our urge to connect to the nature. since serenity is designed for day to day life wear so we tried to keep the color palette a bit subtle and got inspired from the angelic side of the nature.
when it comes to ecstasy the color series are bit warm tone and complete opposite of serenity. under ecstasy sub- trend theme we predicted both casual & party-wear focusing the young women customer of asos. deep burgandy, purple plum , dusk these color series are inspired by power sports like kick boxing, online web-series like stranger things and black mirror. these colors are also a hint of 70's back in trend for a/w 19/20 . For young womens a/w 19/20 free style colors WGSN has found a dominancy of red Reddened Brown layer with lighter Plaster and Pink Alabaster to clashing yet balanced effect. Alphonso Yellow adds heat and vitality to the mix . (Wgsn.com, 2018)
